VOLUNTEERS
We are working on creating a sustainable model for animal welfare. For this reason, EnviroVet CVC does not directly make use of volunteers, however, volunteers are of enormous and valuable help in the welfare organizations that use our veterinary services. If you are wanting to volunteer your time on animal welfare, we encourage you to follow the links to the various welfare organizations and make contact with them directly.
VETERINARIANS
In keeping with the vision to encourage veterinarians to contribute to welfare while maintaining their professional autonomy (that is, not becoming the employees of non-veterinary organizations) and also while earning a sustainable income, we are in the process of planning the way forward with the central SAVA CVC to establish information and training sessions for veterinarians interested in this field.
Our preference is to encourage local veterinarians in this work. Veterinarians from elsewhere in the world are welcome to make contact and arrange to experience what we do. However, any veterinarian wishing to sterilize will be required to be fully registered with the South African Veterinary Council to practice.
DONORS
EnviroVet CVC guarantees that 100% of all funds are used for animal sterilizations at the current cost of R250 per sterilization, unless the donor specifies otherwise.
The cost of a comprehensive project in a given community, including sourcing, individual education, and primary care is R350 per animal. We will gladly discuss any such projects but are sensitive to existing services in the area and seek to establish sound working relationships with local veterinarians and welfare organizations.
CORPORATE SOCIAL INVESTMENT
The welfare of animals in a community is closely linked with the welfare of its people. This is especially the case when there is consideration for the education and upliftment of individuals and the community during sterilization efforts.
For this reason, we encourage the involvement of companies as part of their corporate social investment.
